Pure Vet is a newly established independent veterinary practice based in Ashford. The client approached TDC following previous experience delivering veterinary practice design and fit-out projects, seeking a complete end-to-end solution for their new facility.
The brief was for TDC to design and deliver a full veterinary practice fit out, ensuring the space was not only functional and efficient for clinical use but also fully compliant with all relevant Building Regulations and Veterinary good practice standards.
TDC developed initial layout plans based on the client’s requirements, refining the design to improve workflow, operational efficiency, and overall usability. A key focus was ensuring the practice layout supported smooth day-to-day operations while meeting strict regulatory standards.

Early collaboration with the landlord played a key role in the success of the project, enabling strategic installation of foul drainage in optimal locations, coordination and confirmation of adequate power capacity, and support with elements of the base building structure where required. This proactive approach helped avoid costly redesigns and ensured the building infrastructure fully supported the proposed clinical layout.
Sustainability was also considered throughout the design process. Energy-efficient solutions were incorporated wherever possible, including the use of a heat pump hot water system to help reduce ongoing energy consumption and improve long-term efficiency.
The project was successfully delivered on time and within budget, providing Pure Vet with a fully operational, compliant, and modern veterinary practice ready for immediate opening.
